Let’s Give Thanks

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays – my birthday is number one! The cooler weather, food, family, friends and fellowship just makes it that much better for me.

This year, particularly the past couple of months, has been quite “interesting” to say the least. No, scratch that. These past couple of months have been a major test of my faith! Everything seemed to have happened back to back, to back…almost like a ripple effect. I could sit and write about all that has gone wrong, or what I THINK has gone wrong. But I won’t. I am choosing to look at things from another, more positive perspective.

What if the accident my and my daughter’s life was spared in was a sign that my job here on earth is not done and I truly do have a bigger purpose in this thing called life? What if that one closed door was simply the push I needed to walk through others to fulfill my greater purpose in this thing called life? What if?

I’m not the most religious person but I am a true believer. Some times, we have to go through things in order to be more appreciative of the things we do have that we tend to take for granted, as well as, to remind us that there is an all seeing being that is more powerful than any obstacle/hurdle/challenge/heartbreak…whatever that we may face.

Today, I am choosing to leave the obstacles/hurdles/challenges/heartbreaks…the whatevers I have faced “at the altar.” Carrying these things inside aren’t doing anything but making me sick. I encourage everyone that is reading this that feels they are going through a storm – big, major, small, etc. – to find the positive in it all. Sincerely ask yourself what lesson do you need to learn from it. Let’s give thanks for not only the good that occurs, but for the bad that occurs as well.

Enjoy today with your loved ones!

  1. Hello. I would suggest identifying a topic or topics that you are passionate about and would have no problem developing content. If you’re on social media, join different blogging communities and pick their minds. There are also some free courses/trainings available to help get you started. Good Luck!

  2. I do love the way you have presented this specific situation and it really does give me a lot of fodder for consideration. Nonetheless, through everything that I have witnessed, I just wish as other remarks stack on that people today keep on point and not embark upon a soap box regarding the news du jour. All the same, thank you for this outstanding piece and although I do not really go along with it in totality, I regard the point of view.

  3. I love your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you create
this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you?
Plz reply as I’m looking to design my own blog and would like to find out where u got this from.
    kudos
